Tea Bowl and Saucer, First Period Worcester, soft paste porcelain, c.1757

This finely moulded and potted Worcester tea bowl and saucer are decorated with the attractive Feather Mould Floral design, incorporating floral sprays, flying insects and a trailing floral border, all painted in underglaze blue.

The eggshell thinness and small size of these pieces is indicative of an early date in production.

The same workman's marks to both pieces.

Condition: Good - no cracks or restoration, just a minute frit to the rim of the saucer, which is difficult to see.

Dimensions: Saucer - Diameter 12.2 cm
