A European earthenware Tile, circa 1500-1600
A European Renaissance terracotta tile, moulded in relief with a knight on horseback, the horse rearing up on its hind legs, the knight’s sword raised. This is surrounded by a border of scrolling ornament.
Provenance: An English Private Collection.
Condition: One corner is lacking and there are losses to the edges and upper surface.
