This earthenware child’s saucer, printed in blue, depicts two ladies in an Alpine setting, with a watermill in the middle distance and mountains forming the backdrop. The scene is surrounded by a floral border.
Strongly attributed to John Carr & Sons of Low Lights Pottery, North Shields, Northumberland.

Condition: Good – no damage or restoration, just manufacturing anomalies, including crazing to the glaze, particularly the pooled area within the foot rim, and incomplete joins in the transfer printed design, visible as two thin white lines. Three spur marks on the base.
