A Chinese Tea Bowl or Wine Cup, 18th Century
This Chinese tea bowl or wine cup is painted in underglaze blue with panels of stylised flowers beneath a border of demi-flower heads. The border is repeated around the moulded interior. The interior base is painted with a blue circle enclosing a jumping boy holding a long-stemmed flower. Brown line rim.
Provenance: An English Private Collection.
Condition: Fritting to the foot rim and a tiny firing crack to the base. No other damage and no restoration.
