A Chinese Tea Canister, Qianlong, circa 1750
This moulded Chinese tea canister is finely decorated with famille rose peonies and trailing flowers, the brown enamel leaves picked out with gilt lines. The foot is surrounded by a band of applied scrolling ornament.
The marked 19th-century silver collar and cover are Dutch.
Condition: The enamel decoration is in good order. There is one small loss to the applied ornament surrounding the base. No other damage and no restoration. The silver cover has a small dimple, and the finial is slightly off centre.
Dimensions: Height (to top of finial) 12.5 cm
