A delftware Plate, painted with a Chinese river scene. Lambeth or Liverpool, circa 1760
Painted with a Chinese river landscape including towering rocks, fisherman in a sampan and a house. The design also includes a bizarre trellis border and rather curious orb-like shapes, probably a misinterpretation by the artist of various elements occurring in the original Chinese pattern.
Condition: No cracks or restoration, just typical losses to the brittle tin glaze.
Dimensions: Diameter 23.5 cm
