A Liverpool Coffee Cup, possibly John and Jane Pennington, circa 1770
This Liverpool coffee cup is painted with the popular Mandarin theme of a woman and child in a garden, beside a vase filled with flowering branches.
It is interesting to compare the treatment of this pattern with that of the slightly earlier Worcester example here.
Condition: Excellent – no chips, cracks or restoration.
Dimensions: Height 6.2 cm
