A Worcester Teapot Stand, circa 1775

Decorated in the so-called Compagnie des Indes style, this hexagonal Worcester teapot stand is painted with stylised famille rose flowers, sprays and sprigs suspended from a swagged dotted line inner border. The outer border is of an entwined scroll design highlighted in gilt.

The famille rose palette and orange-brown line rim emulates Chinese export porcelain of the period.
