A Worcester Teapot Stand, circa 1775
Decorated in the so-called Compagnie des Indes style, this hexagonal Worcester teapot stand is painted with stylised famille rose flowers, sprays and sprigs suspended from a swagged dotted line inner border. The outer border is of an entwined scroll design highlighted in gilt.
The famille rose palette and orange-brown line rim emulates Chinese export porcelain of the period.
Unmarked.
Condition: Excellent – no chips, cracks or restoration.
