A Worcester Jug, circa 1765-68

This charming sparrow beak jug is printed in underglaze blue with floral bouquets of European flowers, smaller sprays and a winged insect.

The pattern is recorded by Branyan, French and Sandon as the Natural Sprays Group

Crescent mark.

Condition: No cracks or restoration, just a couple of tiny blemishes on the foot rim. There are glazed clay tears to the handle terminals, and some blue splashes inside the handle, both of which occurred during manufacture.
